Zero splashback
Standing up, urine sprays into thousands of invisible micro-droplets that reach the wall, the floor and your toothbrush. Sitting down, it all stays in the bowl.
The smart move in the bathroom
Cleaner, better for your health, and so much nicer for everyone who shares your bathroom. Here's why - and the posters to say it with a smile.
The benefits in 30 seconds
Standing up, urine sprays into thousands of invisible micro-droplets that reach the wall, the floor and your toothbrush. Sitting down, it all stays in the bowl.
Seated, the bladder empties more completely - a genuine plus if you have prostate trouble (University of Leiden study).
A spotless loo, no lingering smell, no nagging. Whoever cleans (and the whole household) will thank you.
No aiming, no stress, no cleanup. Thirty seconds seated and it's done. Call it bathroom yoga.

Answering the objections
Yes. Peeing standing up sends thousands of invisible micro-droplets up to a metre around the bowl - floor, wall, and nearby objects like your toothbrush. Sitting down, the stream is short and aimed straight in: splashback and smells are dramatically reduced.
A 2014 meta-analysis from the University of Leiden found that, in men with prostate problems, sitting improves bladder emptying (higher flow, lower residual volume). For everyone else it's at least as effective and more comfortable.
No. Sitting down is a practical, hygienic choice, widespread in Germany, Japan and Scandinavia. It's household common sense, not a question of masculinity.
